Leading Managed Services Provider in the Defence Sector is looking to hire an experienced Power BI developer to join our expanding BI & Reporting team. You will be responsible for providing Power BI operational support for all reports and data feeds for a very high-profile strategic programme (S360) and internal customer (Global Delivery).

You will be expected to use your initiative and pragmatism to review and assess daily performance, arrange, and facilitate meetings with relevant parties for problem resolution. You will be expected to investigate report or data feed related issues and work with our internal team to resolve issues quickly and effectively, managing customer communication throughout the period. You may be requested to support the general BI service during quiet periods, this will be arranged directly with you.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of all S360 related reports and data processing
• Daily communication of report and data processing status to S360 team
• Maintain communication with S360 to support report refreshes following credential, data error and connections issues
• Re-run all timeout related report failures
• Run Change Advisory Board for all S360 data and report releases prior to publication which includes;
• Efficiency of written of code
• Conformance of data integration work to ETL framework
• Ensuring test & validation has occurred
• Reviewing use of MS Add Ins
• Review use of personal/sensitive data
• Review use of data sources
• Report performance assessment
• Access and permissions requirements
• Report refresh schedule time allocated
• Create and apply AD group-based secure user access lists
• Publishing new and updated reports following CAB approval
• Work with the S360 project and report development team to roadmap and plan for upcoming account onboarding and report releases
• Incident request management - manage S360 logged incidents
• Access request management - ensure all requests are approved and then processed
• Service request management - assess new requests, evaluate, gain approvals, implement)
• Designing and implementing data processing / report build improvements
• Monthly report usage monitoring
