PMO Officer (Agile/Scrum)

We have a new contract opportunity working for a leading IT Managed Services company with their end customer as a PMO Officer. Working 'Client Side' as PMO Officer you will support the Release Train Manager (Agile environment), Programme Manager (Traditional environment) and/or Portfolio Manager in understanding and communicating progress against plan.

This will be a remote working position.

Your role will be a mix of Agile and Traditional environment; and you will help the transition to new ways of working, constantly asking the question "How could we make the life of the teams delivering solutions easier and quicker whilst also serving the needs of the organisation?".

Your role as PMO Officer will include:

  • Supporting the Release Train Manager or Programme Manager with planning activities by capturing and tracking the key programme planning outputs like objectives, business value (target and achieved), milestones, risks and dependencies.
  • Working with the Release Train Manager or Programme Manager, Coaches, Teams and others to establish the key progress points and deliverables that will give value in being monitored.
  • Supporting the Release Train Manager with the development and maintaining of roadmaps.
  • Facilitates risk review workshops.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who can challenge constructively while developing and maintaining strong and open working relationships
  • A good understanding of agile methodologies with experience of working in an agile team
  • Previous experience supporting Release Train Manager in a highly Agile environment
  • Strong stakeholder management able to work across multi disciplined matrix managed teams
  • Ability to operate effectively within an environment of change
  • Able to facilitate and influence persuasively
  • Able to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Ability to provide clarity and insight to complex discussions and debates
  • Strong prioritisation skills across multiple work streams
