Job Description
PMO ANALYST (TOOLS & SYSTEMS) required to work for a large telecommunications company based in Berkshire.
The PMO Analyst (Tools & Systems) will be accountable for ensuring the day to day operational integrity of the tools & systems used to support the delivery and management of projects and programmes, associated processes and the data across the delivery functions
Other responsibilities of the PMO Analyst (Tools & Systems), include:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the tools and systems currently in use across the Programme Office which support the delivery of Projects and Programmes, ensuring ongoing alignment between business/delivery process and tooling.
- Act as a primary point of advice, support and guidance to Project and Programme Managers on the use of the Programme Office tools and systems, ensuring compliance and consistency of use.
- Maintain end to end data in management information systems, tracking databases and reporting tools to deliver timely and accurate reports in line with the baseline reporting routine.
- Drive and influence data quality, proactively identifying any issues and solutions.
- Ensure accurate information is shared between relevant interfaces.
- Assure service integrity for routine updates and changes, coordinating with users and support teams as necessary.
- Work with technical support teams and 3rd party teams in the support of the operational stability of the Programme Office tools and systems, maintaining the service availability KPI's.
- The PMO Analyst (Tools & Systems) will support the coordination team within Performance & Quality with back office activities, such as user and project set up, providing guidance and backup when required.
- Partake in Community Forums as Subject Matter Expert, driving operational excellence by eliciting requirements for process improvement, tool improvement and exploiting the standard operation of the Programme Office tools and systems. Support the ongoing development of the tools & systems and partake in technical workshops to define and coordinate implementation of future changes.
- Promote and nurture a consistent use policy on the standard toolset.
- Support with on boarding of new starters.
- Proactively seek to address any skills and knowledge gaps that would be critical to undertaking the role by engaging with colleagues and 3rd party partners.
The successful PMO Analyst (Tools & Systems) will have:
- Advanced user of MS Project and Project Online;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office365 Applications, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Experience in providing analysis reporting
- Good oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with a wide variety of people
- Commitment to service excellence and customer experience
- Able to prioritise simultaneous demands and to enjoy the challenge of delivery in very challenging timescales
