We are looking for an Operational Security Analyst to provide support to the customer ensuring secure management of the system. The role will require some knowledge of auditing practices and experience in incident response ensuring fast corrective actions are taken for any security related issues. The right candidate for this position will have an understanding of network and physical security, with analytical skills and able to work as part of a team and independently to provide continued service to our customers? Working to already established processes, have an understanding of Joint Service publications and Service doctrine and knowledge of data protection (GDPR) and Government Security Classification system (GSC) would be advantageous. You will work with a small security team providing support and be in direct contact with senior management and the customer providing briefings and incident updates therefore good written and verbal communication is required.

Core Skills

• 1st / 2nd line support experience across Microsoft Exchange 2010 / Microsoft Outlook 2010
• Network security skills and knowledge e.g. monitoring and live network

Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:

• Understanding of security concepts
• Knowledge of Government Standards (GDPR/GSC)
• Conversant with Joint Service publications
• Auditing processes
• Good communication skills

A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered.
