Onsite Technical Support (OTS) Engineer - Belgium

We are recruiting for a Onsite Technical Support (OTS) Engineer to join our clients team in the Brussels area in Belgium.

The main tasks will include:

• Re-active restore services according to the SLAs (Service Level Agreement) on the mobile network, being RAN- TX- TELLABS- Power- Airco
• Pro-active perform preventive maintenance on mobile network (checklist completion and small corrective actions).
• Support all departments (KPNGB Network Services Delivery) with onsite support activities to meet the customer SLAs and KPIs.
• Integrate Commission and Accept new sites and network elements.
• Support in upgrading and optimizing the existing network.
• Inspect and accept work performed by subcontractors.
• Perform walk tests and analyze the results as well as RF measurements with spectrum analyzer.
• Trouble shooting on fibre optic
• Rigging (climbing) in pylons and buildings to reach network elements.
• Take care of his own and co-workers' health and safety. Follow the given instructions on the use of correct materials, equipment and ppe's. Informing the employer and the EH&S department on possible risks.
• Update tickets and network databases with implemented activities and improvements.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Very good telecom knowledge.
• 2G, 3G and 4G mobile network knowledge (HW and SW) on ZTE and E///. (Knowledge of the GSM, UMTS and LTE structure)
• General knowledge about the different systems of a RAN site, both indoor and outdoor : telecom systems, power, aircon, alarm detection, antenna system, etc…
• Knowledge of XML scripts - data bases
• Understands a Transmission network and knowledge of E1 up to Dark fiber (NSN-E/// Traffic Node-Tellabs-MUX..)
• Experience to work with power (low and high voltage incl DC) BA4 or BA5 certification
• Skills to perform small corrective works on-site (for example labels, replacement of fuses and over-voltage protectors, light replacement, airco filter cleaning,…)
• Experience in climbing.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, …) and ticketing systems
