Senior Network Support Engineer - Juniper - Cisco - Solihull - SC Cleared

Are you an experienced Network Engineer with 3rd / 4th line capabilities, a strong understanding of Juniper and Cisco and valid SC Clearance? If so please apply to this brand new long term contract position based in Solihull.

You will act as the point of contact for escalations and will be working with Project Managers and designers to implement designs within the environment. As the Senior Network Support Engineer you will also provide varied and complex technical support activities as part of service delivery provision/ projects deployment, including installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance. You will also be advising customers on preventive maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer satisfaction. The role holder works with no supervision and is a knowledge leader with depth of specialisation across a wide range of systems.

You will work within a team as a noted expert with a wide range of systems or in-depth product knowledge without supervision helping to define and implement technical best practice. Ensures effective planning and implementation of creative and innovative service changes.

You will ideally have the following:

- Valid SC Clearance

-3rd / 4th line Network Support capabilities

-Excellent knows.edge of Cisco and Juniper routing and switching.

- Qualified to JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIS levels.

Knowledge of at least 4 of the following network protocols:

*IP

*BGP

*MPLS

*IS-ISP

*RSVP

*VLAN's

*VPN's

The skills below would be desirable but not essential:

-A working knowledge of JUNOS and the Juniper family of routers and switches and firewalls.

-Knowledge of MSC,TfS and RIO

-Customer focused

-Team working

-Flexible
