Network Performance, Optimisation and OSS Consultant. Reading. 6Month contract.

Network Performance, Optimisation and OSS consultant required to work on a contract basis, Supporting the production of an RFP for future Network Performance and Optimisation Services. Producing requirements for future OSS architecture for an OSS RFP. Responsible for producing the Operations OSS Requirements and producing the related business case. Writing requirements for an RFP based around the OSS tools. The systems and tools provided to monitor the network and also looking at process improvement.

To work closely with the Network Performance Manager who will be reviewing more the optimisation side and how this is managed a, pulling together people, process, SLA's and expectations on how this will be delivered. This person will look at the OSS tools side.

Looking at service level provisions but also OSS tools.

Experience Required:

Performance or Optimisation management experience

Worked on the tools and systems in this area

Commercial RFP experience and creating business cases

Need to be forward thinking in what the network is going to look like in the future.

Considerable Operations/Engineering experience working for a Network Operator or Service Provider environment.

Excellent understanding of Operational and Customer Experience issues related to Mobile Radio Networks.

Strong understanding of Operational, Performance and Incident OSS Solutions

Understanding of A.I, self organising networks, analytics have a forward thinking view of where networks are heading in the future. For example there will come a time with 5g where they are talking about the network self optimising so effectively fixing itself without tickets having to be raised.

broad experience within a Consultancy role working for multiple vendors in UK.

This is not a standard BAU Network Performance Engineer role it requires more breadth. An example would be a RAN Performance Engineer that has acquired a new OSS system.
