NETWORK PERFORMANCE MANAGER

REMOTE/READING

6 MONTH FTC

I have an exciting opportunity for a Network Performance Manager to work for a telecommunications company based in Berkshire

The Network Performance Manager will proactively manage all aspects of Network Performance on behalf of the Senior Network & Service Performance Manager

Responsibilities of the Network Performance Manager include:

  • Assuring Supplier Performance for all Network Performance related Services (including Event Management, Proactive RF Obstruction, Service Limitations, External Benchmarking Analysis, Subscriber Experience Testing Analysis, Focus Occasions and Focus Event logging and actions, Configuration Management) and associated KPIs/PIs, in line with the Contract and the SOM, for which we are accountable
  • Support the shareholders with assurance of Network Performance Services for which they are accountable
  • Act as the Customer interface for Network Performance Services
  • Based on data analysis, shareholder feedback on customer experience (direct or indirect) or industry knowledge, drive behaviours within Supplier and Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement in Network Performance services for which we are accountable
  • Identify Network and Business Risks from the function, and raise into appropriate forum
  • Support Senior Network & Performance Manager in any project/workshop/discussions where Network Performance services which we are accountable for may be impacted, and/or could support
  • Act as Network Performance SME
  • Manage service limitations requiring a shared solution within existing budget (E.g. Antenna Height Raise) , provide insight when new budget is required from shareholders to deliver solutions
  • Support Incident Management in ensuring Network Performance Actions are taken by the Supplier, where possible and appropriate, to restore Incidents (including deployment of congestion relief parameters and tilts/pans) as part of Playbook
  • Ensure supplier maintains excellent standards of analysis and decision making, and return on investment and value from their services
  • Ensure supplier optimisation delivery is fair to both shareholders, follows JV agreements, complies with our Design Policies
  • Manage relationship with internal and Unilateral Shareholder Design Teams in relation to Optimisation policies and planning guidelines
  • Support Service Operations, Assurance and Delivery Functions, ensuring the impact of Network Performance Services is represented accurately

The successful Network Performance Manager will have:

  • Strong technical understanding of the Mobile telecommunications system architecture.
  • Considerable Operations/Engineering experience working for a Network Operator or Service Provider environment
  • Knowledge and experience working on RAN network performance management and RAN Optimisation.
  • Excellent analytical skills for extracting, processing and manipulating data. (Eg Skilled user of MS Excel, Access and SQL)
  • Business analysis skills, ability to document requirements for IT Tools and formulate business cases for investment.
  • Process improvement experience (Eg Six Sigma).

Nice to have

  • ITIL Foundation Qualification
  • Project Management Qualification (EG Prince2)
  • Experience in working on a project team delivering and intergrating, new Operational, Performance and incident tools.
