Job Description
Network Automation Specialist - Contract - Berkshire
**Please note that a national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered**
Leading Defence industry managed services provider require a skilled Network Automation Specialist to work on a fast-moving client project.
The skillset:
- Strong scripting experience in Perl, TCL/Expect, and Shell
- Strong database design and management experience - MySQL or MariaDB particularly
- Strong Linux administration skills - Redhat 6.x and/or 7.x
- Working knowledge of Cisco and/or Juniper switch platforms - Configuration files, command line interfaces, troubleshooting principles
Plus a strong network management background including:
- Knowledge of LAN architectures and management principles
- TACACS and credential management
- Device Configuration management
- Working knowledge of networking principles across the OSI layers
- Troubleshooting and support experience in a networking environment
