Linux Integration Engineer - Security Cleared, Basingstoke - Permanent

A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered

Role Purpose

The role holder is self sufficient and has recognized specialist skills in supporting multiple products and systems for multiple customers to maintain the availability of the IT services

The types of activities to be undertaken are:

• Linux Engineering
• Support workarounds, solutions and mitigations for identified issues
• Support and identified issues requiring more detailed and in-depth analysis
• The reception of escalated fault reports and technical enquiries. Analysis, investigation and production of support solutions relating to the deployed equipment or service
• Maintain full and accurate records and progress all customer fault reports and technical enquiries
• To perform remote diagnostic tests where applicable to aid primary fault rectification

Mandatory Skills Required:

• Experience working in Linux Engineering teams
• Ideally have knowledge of Linux and using MS Service Center Support tool
• Ideally have been in a support role in a Managed Service tooling environments, i.e. has knowledge of DC and Virtualisation solutions
