Leading IT Services Provider in the defence sector require a skilled Level 3 Network Specialist to join their team in Hampshire.

Duties / responsibilities include :

• Installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and diagnostics of all Network Devices and supporting cabling and infrastructure
• Level 3 Support for the LANs and WANs relating to Core Services
• Network support, advice and recommendations to design change
• Updating Design Documentation to capture Network Changes
• Configuring and filling network Cryptographic Items managed by CyISOC or ISOC

Skills / experience required :

• In-depth understanding of routing protocols, internal and external, OSPF and BGP.
• Detailed knowledge of core network technologies and infrastructure including but not limited to:

• CISCO Nexus
• Leaf and Spine Network Architecture
• VXLAN Overlay Networks
• Dual Cloud Dual Hub DMVPN Solutions
• AAA Management Platforms e.g. ISE
• Detailed understanding of QOS including Traffic Shaping, Policing, Scheduling / Congestion Management and avoidance
• Advanced knowledge of routers, switches and firewall product lines and vendor licensing model
