Role: Junior Service Architect - Cloud

Location: Dublin/Republic of Ireland

Length: Permanent Role

The Role:

A leading global IT company are looking for a Service Architect to provide support to their customers on their Cloud Adoption journey.

You will build a detailed understanding of the client's offerings and services and how they apply to the Irish market & guide the design of Cloud solutions in line with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate services supporting cloud architectures.
  • Service and design authority for Cloud solutions.
  • Understanding the customer's user base & IT Operational structure.
  • Development of detailed end-to-end service designs.
  • Operational support of Cloud Solutions.
  • Develop and contribute towards the contractual obligations (SLAs and KPIs) and additionally any underpinning contracts.
  • Design of future operating and governance models.
  • Impact assessment (IA) of current operating and governance models against scope of work.
  • Process and service tooling design and integration requirements.
  • Writing service documentation as required by the delivery teams for use by operations.
  • Identify and develop ongoing support requirements and service acceptance criteria.
  • Work in conjunction with the overall solution owner; ability to influence the overall solution design that ensures service stability and efficiency.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • At least 6+ year's solid industry experience, with 2 years working with Cloud technologies (ideally with Azure/AWS).
  • Detailed knowledge of service management concepts and techniques.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Significant experience of service operating model design for major IT systems.
  • The ability to write coherent, concise, and readable service documentation.
  • A strong operational understanding of service supply chains.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and excellent oral and written communication and presentation.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally with varying objectives.
  • Innovative thinking; the ability to think conceptually in order to tackle complex problems by redefining the situation into a number of well-defined requirements.
