Role: IOT Solution Architect

Type: 3+ Months Contract

Location: Theale (Mostly remote working)

We have an exciting opportunity for IOT Solutions Architect with one of the leading telecoms company who are currently working on some large global projects, and are looking for someone who is pro-active, creative, self-motivated, who loves to deliver business success and can drive the technology solutions forward supporting our highly ambitious and exciting plans.

Overview / Purpose of the Role:

This role is pivotal in engaging with delivery teams and leveraging Agile development methodologies, whilst effectively documenting and communicating technical solutions.

You will be working in a highly empowered environment where you will own the solutions from their inception to delivery.

You'll be working closely with business stakeholders at all levels and translating business objectives into operational, functional and technical solutions and supporting the Head of Architecture through recommendations and enabling the governance of internal and external solutions.

Your skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and drive the IoT architecture evolution, specifically BSS/OSS domain architecture with at least two focus areas (CRM, Product Catalogue, Provisioning and Fulfilment, Billing and Charging).
• Manage the delivery of transitional and target state architecture blueprints for IoT B2B BSS/OSS architecture.
• Experience of defining technical solutions including integration with core and BSS telco networks.
• Insight into modern architectures, such as IaaS/PaaS/SaaS Cloud, Microservices is highly desirable.
• Experience in designing complex, secure, distributed, and scalable end to end architecture solutions within complex organisations, preferably in the B2B market.
• Strong knowledge of architecture best practices and design patterns
• Sound experience working with a broad range of integration architectural patterns (e.g. SOA and microservices, etc)
• Sound understanding of modern web architecture and Serverless architecture
• Knowledge of container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
• In depth knowledge of cloud platforms
• Understanding of DevOps culture, practices and tools
• Proven experience of conducting technical workshops, presenting technical solutions, preparing architecture guidelines and technical strategy documents.
• Experience of producing high quality UML based architecture artefacts.
• Familiar with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, TM Forum, etc) and capable of suggesting new tools/process.
• Good understanding of Telco Core Network Access technologies 3g,4g/5g.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
