Project People are supporting a multi-academy trust with schools based across the East of England and the Midlands.
They are seeking to appoint a primary trained senior leader on a part-time basis to become part of a unique government funded project in Ipswich to join as a IOA School Senior Leader from the end of September 2019 or beginning of October 2019.
The project is focused on a government national plan for improving social mobility through education in certain regions across the UK, benefitting from a share of £72 million to deliver a locally produced three year plan to improve outcomes for the most disadvantaged children and young people in the town through education. The programme will end in July 2020.
The IOA School Senior Leads will be responsible for maximizing the impact of the programme within the 2019/20 academic year.
You will provide short-term capacity to support a particular primary school as part of an IOA project aimed at supporting schools categorised as Ofsted 'Requires Improvement'. Your scope will be supporting the school to access, implement, evaluate and embed IOA programmes in the academic year and work with other Senior Leaders within the school to produce a long-term plan to support pupil progress beyond the life of the IOA programme.
To be considered for this role you will have the following:
- Experience of senior leadership in a primary setting
- Proven track record of securing improvement in the quality of teaching and learning
- Proven track record of raising achievement
- Experience of working effectively with pupils with a wide ability range, including gifted and talented and SEND children
- Usage of relevant date to drive school improvement
- Experience of British Values agenda and Prevent training
