Job Description

Project People are working in partnership with a primary special school for children aged between 3 years to 11 years with severe learning difficulties based in South London. They are seeking to appoint an interim Headteacher on a one year fixed term contract from September 2019.

Salary range: L25 - L31 (£79,600 - £90,000)

The successful person will be a highly experienced senior leader, with previous Headship experience in similar SEN school environments with a key focus on children with ASD, PMLD and SLD. This is a school that offers a personalised curriculum, which is modified appropriately for each individual child, has a large and dedicated team of staff who are extremely passionate about the learning environment for all pupils, as well as working closely with the local community and multi-disciplinary team colleagues to fully support all pupils to achieve their full potential.

This is a great time to be joining the school, off the back of three 'Outstanding' Ofsted reviews, they are starting a building project to expand the school by 50% capacity. The interim Headteacher will be key to managing the expanded staff team, overseeing the educational elements of the building project and working closing with other stakeholders involved in the expansion and building project. Previous experience managing school building projects is advantageous.

You will be a passionate and personable senior leader who is able to lead and work collaboratively.
