Head of Transmission Deployment - Permanent - Mobile Telecoms - Berkshire

Leadership position with a growing telecoms infrastructure provider in Berkshire, accountable for the leadership and proactive management of transmission deployment to achieve agreed business outcomes

• Establish,own and continuously improve the strategies, systems, processes, controls and capabilities required to manage transmission deployment on behalf of the company and its shareholders including all related forums, communications and governance control points
• Own the production, agreement and execution of detailed transmission build plans to achieve the business outcomes and performance targets (incl safety, time, cost and quality) set out by the business and shareholders
• Responsible for forecasting, authorising and management of CAPEX and OPEX spend through the governance and commercial processes including the proactive identification and implementation of cost optimisation initiatives
• Team management - manage and develop a team of Transmission Delivery Managers as direct reports along with a wider team of planners etc.
• Responsible for intensely managing the day to day delivery of contractors, suppliers and retained resources against contracted safety, time, cost and quality obligations

Essential Skills:

• Significant experience of managing large scale, large budget transmission deployment within mobile telecoms, safely to agree time, cost and quality targets
• Significant experience of establishing, developing and leading a deployment function (within mobile telecoms), managing retained resources and partners to deliver large and highly complex programmes or work safely to agreed time, cost and quality targets
• Detailed knowledge of the methodologies, process and capabilities required to deliver the leased line, fibre and microwave transmission using contractors, suppliers and retained teams
• Extensive experience motivating, monitoring and improving performance of contractors and suppliers
• Strong experience of working with, briefing and influencing senior members of leadership teams
• Proven track record in continuous improvement and an understanding of how to lead and manage high performance team
