The successfully appointed Head of Property & Finance will play a pivotal role within the finance team as it transitions through a period of exciting change. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel with primary responsibility of effectively managing the key Revenue and Property costs that are at the heart of our business, seeking out opportunities for growth and mitigating risks.

The Head of Property & Finance will hold business accountability for the completion of month end accounting, forecasting of the key metrics, liaison with our senior shareholders and managing the finance aspects of the outsourced property estates management contracts.

About the role

  • Budget accountability for: Revenues of £450m & Property costs of £265m
  • Accountable for the timely and accurate billing of all Cornerstone services to the Anchor tenants and other 3rd parties. Providing appropriate detailed supporting back up as required.
  • Ownership of the tracking and resolution of billing queries raised, liaising with BI and other business functions as required.
  • Budget accountability for: Revenues of £450m & Property costs of £265m
  • Drive accurate forecasting of future financials on a rolling basis by developing a thorough understanding of the relationship between business activities and drivers of Revenue & Property OPEX.
  • Accountable for the consistency between Property OPEX costs, Capex investment and Revenue recognition, through appropriate KPI measures, including site type & location margin analysis.
  • Prepare and review the Revenue analysis & Property OPEX section of the monthly Management Accounts and provide insightful commentary. Identify and propose appropriate remedial or re-enforcing actions.

About you

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualified Finance Manager
  • Knowledge of IFRS16 Accounting. Do not need to be an expert, should just understand it, and the accounting associated to that. There is a team that handles this though
  • Experience with managing large budgets - £250m - £500m
  • Property Industry experience desired
  • Good financial accounting knowledge
  • Who can be accountable for their area i.e. Revenue or Property
  • Finance Business partnering experience
  • Experience with Agresso ERP
  • Work with the Head of and CFO
  • Telco knowledge a bonus, but not essential
