Job Description

Project People are supporting an OfSTED rated 'Outstanding' secondary school based in SE London / Kent borders. They are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Head of PE from February 2020 for a period of maternity cover.

The school is proud of its diverse and inclusive setting, with a wide catchment area. They pride themselves on an excellent range of extra-curricular opportunities to complement academic courses and a vast majority of students' progress to Russell Group Universities at the end of their Sixth Form experience.

This position would suit a newly qualified teacher who is seeking to make their next step into Middle Leadership and make their mark in an outstanding school, or a more experienced PE specialist looking to inspire and promote all aspects of PE and sport even further.

You will have a willingness to contribute to the extensive enrichment and extra-curricular provision is highly encouraged. The school is forward thinking and dynamic. They offer flexible working into culture, therefore part time positions will be considered.

The successful person will be able to demonstrate the professional and personal qualities necessary to consistently inspire highly motivated and capable students across all three Key Stages, 3 to 5.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Be an outstanding, organised PE specialist / classroom practitioner
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Physical Education
  • Ability stimulate and engage students
