Job Description

Head of Health, Safety & Quality Management - Permanent - Berkshire

Exciting opportunity for a Head of Health, Safety & Quality Management from a regulated industry (telco, rail, construction, nuclear etc) to come and join a mobile telecoms organisation and help them on their journey to become best in industry.

Role:

  • To own and continuously improve the strategies, systems, processes, controls and capabilities required to manage Health and Safety on behalf of the company including all related forums, communications and governance control points.
  • To establish, own and continuously improve the strategies, systems, processes, controls and capabilities required to manage Quality on behalf of the company including all related forums, communications and governance control points.

  • Accountable for owning and the continuous improvement of the strategies, systems, processes (including defining standards, monitoring, analysis, forecasting, planning and reporting), controls and capabilities required to manage Health and Safety. This includes corporate staff safety and environmental systems to ensure that the company is a safe and well-being focused place of work.

Background required:

  • High degree of business and commercial awareness, in addition to expert H&S knowledge
  • Strategic and planning skills at a very high level, due to the pressures between Strategy & BAU
  • Very strong influencing and persuading skills proven at a senior / Director level
  • Ability to assimilate and act on detailed and complex data and business intelligence
  • Proven experience at establishing and developing relationships across multiple organisations
  • Strong desire and motivation to collaborate and create sustainable working H&S partnerships
  • telco, rail, construction, energy / highly regulated/high risk industry background
