Job Description
Excellent opportunity open for a Finance Specialist who has worked in an Operational/Project Environment and ideally has good Business Partnering and Agresso skills, to come on board and work for a reputable telecommunications company, based in Theale, Berkshire. This will be a 6 months initial contract position. Competitive rates on offer
Key experience:
Financial accounting knowledge and experience of managing relationships
Telecoms infrastructure industry experience
Professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
Able to understand and interpret complex data sets
Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
Advanced excel skills
Desirable experience:
Finance business partnering experience
Agresso ERP application software
Responsibilities:
- To produce actual capex results on a monthly basis using Agresso finance system and other data sources in line with month end timetable. Requires analysis & collation of large & complex data sets from several source systems to calculate & report costs.
- Including posting journals, reporting and balance sheet reconciliations to validate accuracy and robustness of information
- Ensuring detailed understanding of finance system and processes to identify improvements in accuracy and efficiency of month end process
- Ownership of the reporting and analysis of specific capex programs to identify appropriate analysis including variance analysis, calculation of key metrics and non-financial measures to ensure a deep understanding of the performance in the month
- Provide business partnering service to capex program managers to provide insight into the financial effects of their decisions and allow the site roll-outs to be maximized at minimum cost
- Preparing the annual budget and re-forecasting for capex
- Work with the wider finance team and report results to the CFO and Head of Finance; work alongside the fixed asset accountant managing the fixed asset register; liaison with the Company's shareholders (Telefonica and Vodafone) on explanation of the monthly results; annual discussion with external auditors; business partnering the acquisition and delivery teams
