Finance Analyst

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To provide end to end accounting and business partnering for all Capex impacted by the shareholders agreement. This includes month end accounting responsibilities for network capex managed by the client on behalf of their shareholders mobile networks, reporting and analysis of cost, business partnering to the acquisition and estates/legal teams and budgeting and re-forecasting.

KEY RESPONSIBILIES

Financial Accounting

To produce actual capex results on a monthly basis using Agresso finance system and other data sources in line with month end timetable. Requires analysis & collation of large & complex data sets from several source systems to calculate & report costs.

Including posting journals, reporting and balance sheet reconciliations to validate accuracy and robustness of information

Ensuring detailed understanding of finance system and processes to identify improvements in accuracy and efficiency of month end process.

Reporting and analysis, forecasting and business partnering

Ownership of the reporting and analysis of specific capex programs to identify appropriate analysis including variance analysis, calculation of key metrics and non-financial measures to ensure a deep understanding of the performance in the month

Provide business partnering service to key stakeholders to provide insight into the financial effects of their decisions and allow the site roll-outs to be maximized at minimum cost

Preparing the annual budget and re-forecasting for CAPEX

Experience (technical, managerial, industry)

Required: Financial accounting knowledge and experience of managing relationships

Desired: Telecoms infrastructure industry experience

Finance business partnering experience

Agresso ERP application software

Education level / Qualifications (professional, vocational)

Professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or high performing part qualified / qualified by experience

Skills / Knowledge

Able to understand and interpret complex and/or large data sets. Able to analyse and problem solve

Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines and prioritise, keep the ball rolling and work through month end tasks. An understanding of detailed costing around CAPEX.

Clear communicator - written and spoken

Advanced excel skills
