Fibre Optics Audit Technician

My client is looking for Fibre engineers to join their London-based team!

Duties and responsibilities:

Removing any redundant or over length fibres,

Re-labelling fibre,

Ensuring all fibre identified on site is documented and reported to offshore colleagues to enable the update and alignment of fibre inventory systems.

Skills required:

Previous experience of fibre optics;

Able to work part of a team;

Have their own equipment (although not much equipment required and my client can provide it if needed);

Previous experience of working for a telecoms company;

BT exchange experience desirable;

Tracing/ labelling from fibre diagram;

Splicing/testing experience;

Internal fibre experience;

Colour code of fibre and patching.

Additional information

Travel is minimal.
