Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps engineer who will be responsible for owning and leading DevOps processes within the Web team. You will guide and implement process or technical changes to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery within the team. You will seek to increase automation and improve the efficiency of the companies current processes and will strive to migrate all solutions away from legacy platforms completing a move to the cloud whilst building in resilience and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for running and providing a CI/CD process using cloud architecture
  • Responsible for application releases
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment
  • Accountable for system uptime and high availability
  • Analyse code and communicate detailed reviews to development team
  • Carry out systems tests for security, performance and availability
  • Own and manage server architecture including legacy solutions
  • Instilling best practice DevOps processes
  • Monitor and report on architecture performance and load
  • Ensure that releases are fully tested and as bug free as possible
  • Cost effective use of cloud resources
  • Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a DevOps role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Experience of migrating legacy solutions to the cloud
  • Familiar with Azure DevOps flows
  • Organised and structured in your work
  • Keen interest in the latest DevOps technologies
  • Excellent networking and security background
  • Good understanding of the TCP/IP stack
  • Good familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Good knowledge of scripting
  • Previous development experience within a .Net / SQL stack
  • Experience of CI (Continuous Integration)
  • A problem solver with a positive attitude able to use your skills to troubleshoot and provide solutions under pressure
  • Superb interpersonal communication skills
  • Pays attention to the detail
