Security Cleared* - DevOps Technical Consultant

6 Month Rolling Contract

I have an urgent requirement for a security Cleared DevOps Consultant to join my client, a market leader IT Services company. This is an ongoing contract based in Croydon 3-4 days a week.

**A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered**

A DevOps Technical Lead / Consultant is required to work into Data layer platform DevOps, you will be responsible for:

• Develop infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
• Documentation of code pipelines and implementation
• Developing automation code and pipelines for the following DevOps toolsets:
• a. Microsoft GitHub, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Jenkins/Terraform
• b. Container technologies including - Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, JSONnet
• c. Cloud Platforms - AWS
• d. Experience of CI/CD automation for highly available , Groovy apps, Java applications with spring boot.
• e. Experience of CI/CD automation for highly available Hadoop/Kaftka and PostGres/PostGres RDS is preferable
• Working within SCRUM based development projects within a SCRUM of SCRUMs approach.
• Working within large government projects and programmes
• Working with a tech lead who will carryout peer review and provide guidance and support as needed.
• Experience of working on CI/CD for innovative QA methods including Chaos Engineering with the ability to read and understand Java data engineering code

• Design level experience
• Big data
• Cloud - AWS
• Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, Docker, JSONnet
• CI/CD and IaaC for PostGres/PostGres RDS, Kaftka, Hadoop (Informatica Hadoop)
• CI/CD - Jenkins (primary), Terraform (secondary), Groovy, JIRA, Confluence, Git
• Understanding of distributed architectures and secure solutions
