Are you committed and passionate about SEN education, with a passion for autism?

If so, Project People are supporting a non-maintained special school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19 years, based in Nottinghamshire.

The school are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher to start in post as soon as possible (Dependent on availability). The role will have a key focus on combining strategic development with operational delivery on a daily basis across the whole school.

The successful person will be joining a school that follows Positive Behaviour Support and Person-Centred approaches, therefore you will contribute to the continued strategic and operational development of this. They offer small class groups, high staffing ratios and excellent opportunities for training and continued professional development.

As a member of the school leadership team you will play a critical role in the translation of its vision into clear objectives that promote and sustain measurable school development; ensuring that the school continuously improves and is aspirational for all the children attending the school.

You will have responsibility for a defined area of the curriculum and School Development plan. In addition, you will maintain a defined teaching commitment.

Previous experience with autistic children and young people or teaching in an additional needs environment at any age is desirable but full training and support will be given.
