Job Description

Project People are supporting an independent SEN school based in Greater Manchester. They are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher on a permanent basis from January 2020 or sooner for the right person. The successful person will lead on Teaching and Learning, as well as support the Headteacher with managing the school.

The school caters for children aged 7 to 18 years, with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, as well as ASD or ADHD. As a school they have a range of subject specific areas including a fully equipped teaching kitchen, ICT department, primary school area and community areas for recreational activities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

  • You will be a specialist with working with children with various special needs
  • You will be able to provide support to pupils with SEMH difficulties
  • Maintain links with families and the local community
  • Set and have high expectations and aspirations to enable pupils to reach their full potential
  • Provide personalised programmes of learning
