DATABASE SYSTEMS DEVELOPER- CONTRACT-REMOTE

Leading Managed Services Provider in the Defence Sector is looking to hire a Database Systems Developer

/ Sr.Software developer as well as a top communicator to sit between technical teams. Your primary responsibility will be to work and support our database application and act as an interface between the Development and Architecture teams, guiding and mentoring less experienced team members. You will pay a key role in the transition to new architecture working closely with solution designers and systems testers to produce, delivery and support changes and new functionality. Shall provide a 4th line support for database applications, analysing issues, and delivering fixes to agreed quality standards and timescales.

Need:

To be successful in this role you will have a breadth of Development and Support experience especially of critical high volume databases.

You will be experienced with Postgres/Oracle (PL/SQL / Pro*C /Postgres PL/PGSQL/Java) as well has having sound Unix Scripting skills and experience of Subversion.

Mandatory Skills:

• Oracle PL/SQL
• Postgres PL/PGSQL
• MS-SQL
• Unix scripting (e.g. bash)
• Java

Desirable Skills

• Go Lang
• Use of Redgate Flyway
• Experience in AWS

Mandatory Experience:

• 3(+) years Oracle/Postgres Database development and support experience, with experience of critical high volume databases.
• Development experience in PRO*C and Unix scripting.

Desirable Experience:

• Systems development in a highly structured large project environment. Use of source control and configuration
• Management tools.
