Solution Architect of Data center integration service

Fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Data Centre Architect to join a globally renowned Telecoms organisation to lead in pre-sales and delivery for my clients solution on customer sites across the UK

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth study and analysis in IT service for region.
• Medium to high level customer communication to obtain customer's requirement and present my clients technical solution
• Based on customer's requirements, lead a solution team to make a complete data-center solution, including IT infrastructure integration, cloud integration or DC consolidation/migration
• In pre-sales stage, lead a solution team to analyze customer's RFP, being the solution architect as well as estimating the total cost and risk
• In delivery stage, work as a technical director to guide the solution team in order to make the design as well as taking responsibility for implementation, commission, test and acceptance.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

At least 10 years in one or several of the following competency areas:

IT/Cloud Architecture Integration Experience

DC Management & Orchestration, Architectural knowledge of orchestration/virtualization tools and concepts: Openstack, Vmware Vcenter

Cloud integration: Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud

IT Infrastructure Integration: Network & Security, Storage & Backup, OS, Database:

Familiar with Operator's Applications: OSS, BSS, CRM, ERP, OA etc

Familiar with Operator's Architectures: ITIL, eTom

DC Consolidation and Migration Methodology and Experience:

DC Consolidation plan and wave design experience

Application migration

System Migration: P2V, V2V, Unix to X86.

Data/Database Migration: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, SQL Server migration to each other.

Storage Migration: EMC, NetApp, HP, HDS migration to each other

Additional:

Open minded. Good inter-person relationship.

Excellent cross-functional communication skills, spans organizations and continents. Outstanding analytical, motivational, and team work capability. Also flexible to adapt to changes and pressures

Understanding of both telecom industry and IT service market.

Excellent oral and written English

Happy to travel within Western EU when needed.
