Data & Analytics Manager

I have an exciting opportunity to work as a Data & Analytics Manager for a company with a fantastic office and working environment who are currently undergoing a major business transformation, underpinned by significant investment in their technology.

The Data & Analytics Manager will have overall leadership for all aspects of our corporate data platform capability. This includes information management framework, data classification and standards, data quality, technology platform(s) and technology services.

Establish an Enterprise data capability that supports growth and international expansion ambitions. The capability will incorporate people, process and technology aspects for a group wide service-based capability.

Data Classification and Data Management

• Establish and operate clear governance processes for data management starting with data domain definition and data ownership. Progress to define data standards, data quality measures and data reporting

Data Technology Platform and Services

• Implement appropriate enterprise wide data repositories that support the strategic and operational data and information needs of the business (primarily use the Microsoft toolset)
• Consolidate the existing data platforms into the strategic platform(s) and provide ingestion and extraction services to ensure quality, ease of access and service reliability for data across the organisation
• Provide reporting capabilities for management information and operational reporting purposes
• Provide analytics services for identified use cases, whether they be strategic or operational

Team Management and Development

• Work closely with your direct reports to provide feedback on performance, understand their strengths and weaknesses and create individual development plans to guide their growth
• Hold regular developmental catch ups and quarterly My Journey sessions to ensure direct reports are clear on their developmental priorities and available support

The successful Data & Analytics Manager will have:

• Experience leading in all aspects of Enterprise data management
• Business leadership for areas such as data domains, data ownership and data quality
• Technology leadership for areas such as technology platforms and technical data services
• Experience with Enterprise data marts, data lakes, structured and un-structured data, ETL tools, reporting tools
• Experience with the Microsoft toolset - including SSIS, SQL, SSRS, Synapse, Azure DataFactory, Azure Cloud, PowerBI
• Project management experience to ensure on time, to scope and quality delivery

Desirable:

• Wide range of technologies in applications and infrastructure
• Business process modelling
