We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Operations team is accountable for delivering the performance of the network to an agreed service level through the current Managed Service Partner Ericsson. The team support the ambition of "Best Network at Lowest Cost"

The role

• Report and monitor KPI's providing valuable insight.
• Provide insight on supplier performance and challenge.
• Analyse data to create prioritised proposals with clear benefits realisation.
• Responsible for preparing SLA review data.
• Accountable and responsible for collating reports for Network Performance, Incident Management and change events from multiple systems and data sources.
• Accountable for translating and applying insight to reports.
• Accountable and responsible for publishing reports for review.
• Responsible for preparing reports for Service Review Meetings.
• Responsible for supporting MBNL Management in ad hoc requests for data analysis.
• Responsible for supporting analysis of customer complaints to establish if new methods of measuring performance can be implemented to reduce complaints.

Must Have

• Solid data analytical experience
• Able to undertake complex analysis of telecom/IT technology based problems.
• Motivation - To have full confidence in own abilities coupled with a positive attitude and creative thinking.
• Communication - Be able to clearly communicate complex issues concisely.
• Mathematics / Statistical training or experience is essential.
• In depth knowledge of Business Objects. Ability to write queries and reports to extract data.
• Skilled and considerable experience of using ORACLE database and writing SQL queries to extract data.
• In depth knowledge of MS Access and Excel to analyse data including macro automation.
• Skilled and considerable experience of using MapInfo.
• Thorough understanding and competence of Operational performance and incident tools.
• Extensive presentation/reporting skills and must be able to communicate data analysis results to a non-technical audience.

Nice to Have

• Able to undertake complex analysis of telecom/IT technology based problems.
• ITIL experience or knowledge would be an advantage although not essential.
• Extensive technical understanding of the GSM/GPRS/UMTS system architecture
• Operations experience working for a Network Operator.
