Cyber Security Resource Manager

We are looking to grow our team with committed people through the recruitment of a Cyber Security Practice Lead who will be responsible for ensuring the Company's Defence and National Security (DNS) business unit has access to the right capability at the right time to ensure an excellent customer experience.

The Cyber Security Practice provides the end-to-end security service including Security Management, Security Design & Architecture and Security Operations. The Practice is circa 80 heads and needs to grow in the next 6-24 months in order to delivery anticipated new business.


This is a pivotal role. In addition to delivering a day-to-day operational management function you will be responsible for developing and implementing the capability development plan for the team to make sure our people remain appropriately skilled and up to date in this fast paced discipline. With a deep understanding of your team and its capability, you will work with Delivery Teams, Project Managers and external parties to ensure team members are fully utilized and appropriately aligned with opportunities that allow for continuous professional development whilst meeting the needs of the business. In addition you will work with our Security CTO and the DNS Head of Security to plan and implement the DNS Security Strategy. With an ability to see the bigger picture, you will look and work across team and practice boundaries to both leverage and manage talent whilst simultaneously ensuring you work within the budget set for your team. Bringing all of these attributes together you will play your part in ensuring our people are both motivated and equipped to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Core Skills

  • Knowledge of the Security discipline, ideally gained from recent experience as a practitioner
  • Proven track record in leading and developing people and their careers
  • Cost Centre management including profit and loss
  • Resource management including all aspects of recruitment and performance management
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
  • Customer and business focused
