Role: Compliance Manager (ISO9001 & ISO27001)

Type: Permanent

Location: Home based one day a week in London EC1

Our client is one of the UK's advanced digital technology innovation centres, they are now looking for a Compliance Manager to lead on their information security management systems by developing and managing a system of process documentation covering all aspects of the business.

Playing a pivotal role you will be responsible for their ISO27001 and ISO9001 to help them gain the certification and maintain their accreditation by change and improvement in performance and quality.

This role would also suit a 27001 Auditor and or Client Manager that is looking for more of an in-house role.

Responsibilities include:

● Working with Project Managers, Programme Managers and other stakeholders across the business to implement a system of internal assurance covering the policies and processes needed to comply with ISO9001 and ISO27001, as they apply to all areas of the business.

● Act as the knowledge lead to develop, maintain and embed a system of documentation including policies, processes and procedures that capture and define evolving best practises across the company to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and ISO27001.

● Mapping and assessing current processes and tools to identify needs and opportunities for improvement, gain approval for and then implement those improvements.

● Continuous monitoring of emerging regulatory requirements, including identifying and applying external, established best compliance practices as needed.

● Plan and undertake internal audits and follow up with any actions with the relevant teams.

● Monitor, track and resolve non-conformances including complaints from the customer.

● Participate in improving our customer experience / Suggest proactively every improvement that could enhance customer satisfaction

Skills/experience required:

  • Previous experience of implementing and managing ISO9001 and ISO27001 compliant management systems, acting a subject matter expert for best practice compliance, including defining and implementing structures, processes and tools, managing accreditation and driving business and cultural change as part of a PMO. Ideally this would include experience in a technology-led business.
  • Experience of designing and implementing internal quality and IT security audit plans, analysing and reporting on the results and advising the business on how to address identified non-conformance.
  • Drafting, reviewing and simplifying policy and process documents that operate under the ISO9001 and ISO27001 quality management systems.
  • Ability to review and simplify compliance procedures at enterprise level and ensure these remain current and fit for purpose.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Working from home with one day in the office which is based in London near Farringdon tube station.
