Exciting new opportunity for an experienced Compliance and Governance Counsel to join a telecommunications service provider based in Theale, Berkshire on a permanent basis.

You would have the overall responsibility for the company's compliance with competition law (information sharing) and would be implementing robust and effective controls to ensure that information sharing occurs in a manner that is consistent with competition law requirements.

You would also:

• ensure that those controls are regularly reviewed and monitored to maintain effectiveness and fitness for purpose
• raise awareness of information sharing requirements with all relevant business teams providing advice and support where necessary
• deal with any reported issues or breaches of information sharing rules working with the shareholder Compliance teams

Another interesting aspect of the role would see you acting as the assistant company secretary to the General Counsel providing support on all aspects of the Board process. This will include having responsibility for all template Board documents, reviewing and approving draft Board papers, assisting with preparation of Board minutes and ensuring all relevant governance is adhered to.
