Permanent/ Fixed Term Contract position

Great opportunity to work as Commercial Specialist/ Executive for a high profile , well-loved brand within the telecoms sector that also offers open to remote working, visible in the Reading office a couple of times a month ideally. This role reports Head of Commercial. This role is formed to create a centralised model for commercial delivery and is accountable for establishing and supporting that model within business by setting the commercial policy(ies), standards and framework, ensuring that high standards of procurement, commercial, supplier and contract management are achieved.

Role Purpose:

In this role you will provide commercial support to business and Project team to :

• Ensure budgetary compliance,
• Price negotiation, Managing existing agreements,
• Negotiate new framework agreements,
• Minimise commercial risk

What you can expect to be doing :

• Responsible for all elements of the Commercial framework including evolution of supplier strategy, supplier selection, Contracting, On boarding , In-Life and Exit management
• Responsible for ensuring all commercial activity is governed by Commercial Policy and processes
• Provision of all commercial deliverables, as necessary e.g. negotiation plan, contract risk analysis, benefits analysis and contract creation and closure
• Lead tender activities using established commercial processes ensuring the strategic requirements of business and its shareholders are met
• Identifying & implementing opex-saving opportunities.

Required Skills :

• Previous experience of negotiating complex framework contracts
• Good understanding of contract law
• Significant Supplier & Contract management experience
• Open on industry, although ideally from an engineering/construction background
