Cloud Architect (Azure) - Contract - Oxfordshire

Fantastic company in Oxfordshire require a Cloud Technical Architect to work on a business wide transformation programme comprising digital and cloud service re-invention.

Summary

• Working as part of the Transformation Programme to migrate internal IT systems away from on-premises hosting to the Cloud, or alternatively Co-Lo as appropriate.
• You will bring a wealth of Azure and cloud migration expertise and be able to demonstrate broader IT Infrastructure experience across datacentre, server, and networks.
• Act as an SME on Azure, Cloud and related technologies for the cloud strategy and rationalisation project.

Skills

2+ years' experience in the delivery of Azure architecture.

5+ years' IT technical architecture experience delivering IT infrastructure projects (datacentre, server, network, telecoms).

Strong, in-depth and demonstrable hands-on experience with the following Azure Platform and Infrastructure services;

• Virtual Machines & Service Containers
• Azure Security & Management
• Azure Storage
• Azure Networking (Virtual Networks, Load balancers, DNS,)
• Azure Security & Management (Azure AD Services, Multi-factor, Azure WAF)

Experience of the following Azure Platform and Infrastructure services;

• Azure SQL, WebApps, AppService, Expressroute

Experience of VDI rollouts (e.g. Citrix, VMware Horizon)

Experience of designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery capabilities.

Experience of working in/with Agile / Scrum teams
