Cisco Network Design Architect

Cisco Network Design Architect - Contract - Solihull, West Midlands (possiblity for some home working).

SD-WAN / VMware NSX / CISCO ACI

A global IT services company is searching for a Cisco Network Design Architect to join their team on a contract basis in Solihull.

Role:

• Creation of material for Architecture Overview Design document, HLDs and LLDs.
• Own designs and take through appropriate approval gates e.g. ARB, Co-Co, DAB and CISO.
• Prepare cut-over plans (run books) to implement solutions.
• Work with third party consultants at cut-over to ensure smooth go-live.
• Support Testing activities pre and post go-live.
• Milestone and project task reporting for to the appropriate team lead/project manager.
• Ensure that wherever possible, the adoption of a best practice approach and minimal gaps.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Solid experience at CCNP / CCDP level or above.
• Ability to oversee the delivery of designs.
• SD-WAN experience - Viptela in particular.
• Experience of VMware NSX.
• Cisco ACI Design and deployment experience.
