Business Data Analyst - Data Modelling

Work for a market leader within the mobile telecoms that has a great flexible working policy and located in the centre of Reading.

Great salary on offer plus car allowance and bonus scheme.

This role will sit within the business to capture data and then work with IT to build a model. This person provides the blue print for IT, therefore needs to have technical modelling experience in either UML or ER.

What he role will be doing:

• To create and govern a centralised Business Data Glossary that contains the definitions of our critical data items.
• To model business data conceptually and independently of applications and physical implementations.
• To work closely with IT to link the conceptual, logical and physical models and create a truly interconnected understanding of the data.
• Play a key role in supporting the transformation of technology with our business requirements at the forefront.
• Deliver Data Modelling and Metadata methodology and standards.

Required experience

• Experience of creating conceptual models.
• Ideally from a finance background or insurance company.
• Expert knowledge of Data Modelling in either UML or ER languages.
• Experience leading or playing a significant role in an ambitious and successful data team.
