Azure Systems Developer

We are currently looking for an Azure Systems Developer. This is a permanent role that will be remote-based initially and then based of Theale with circa 3 office days once restrictions due to Covid19 ease.

Responsibilities:

• Development of new solutions and enhancements to existing tools

Working with IT demand, design and project management, respond to new functionality development requirements to be reviewed and agreed with the client. New functionality development requirements will be undertaken, implemented and tested to guideline standards within agreed timescale

• Design and maintain development and test environments

Ensure all developments are undertaken in a controlled development environment and are release controlled to representative test environments for System and user testing to enhance the quality of final releases to production

• 3rd Line support for in-house developed systems and interfaces.

Provide technical support on owned systems and respond to support requests during Company core hours. Analyse the reported issue and report suitable resolutions/development requirements or workarounds and implement a suitable resolution where possible

To support and contribute actively to health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers.To ensure all systems and developments meet the Company's IT security requirements

Required experience:

• Extensive development experience in the design and development of Business Intelligence systems
• Deep technical skills in Microsoft development toolset
• Experience of building/maintaining data warehouse in both establish envornment as well as greenfield
• Experience directly managing users requirements and translating them into systems requirements
• Extensive experience of building and trouble shooting automated ETL routines
• Extensive knowledge of building reports to customer requirments
• Full stack development experience
• Must have good Azure experience
• Strong SSRS, MS SQL, Data Factory experience
• Must have a good understanding of software development, .net and C#
• Prime role is to fix any bugs and make enhancements
• Also responsible for SQL Server; interface with 3rd party- answer any questions they have and ensure they are doing what they should be. Previous SQL administration experience needed
• Telecom background is nice to have but by no means essential
