Project People are supporting a SEN school based in South London that caters for deaf children. The school is seeking to appoint an interim Assistant Headteacher from September 2019 for one term with the potential for this role to become permanent for the right person.
The successful person will be experienced with SEN school settings. Experience with working with deaf and speech / communications difficulties is key, BSL is desirable not essential. You will be the designated safeguarding leader and oversee behaviour and attitudes within the school.
The school is currently rated as 'Good' (OFSTED 2016) with an outstanding residential provision for students aged 10 -19 who are deaf and/or have speech language and communication needs. They follow a student-centred multi-modal approach to communication.
