Job Description

Asset Manager - Mobile Telecoms - Berkshire - Initial contract to end of the year, long term programme.

The Asset Manager will join a team who are responsible for the facilitation and governance of the asset management processes, including the analysis, categorisation across TBEST, TSR to GDPR as well as general assets in Technical and Operational services within the Organization

You will need to be incredibly organized as you will be responsible for managing a number of different tasks and projects ranging from working TBEST, TSR to GDPR and/or Cyber Essentials Reviews. Essential Skills / Experience: * Attention to detail * Good communication skills (both written and verbal) * Proven track record in business-to-business communication * Self-starter * Ability to work alone and manage own workload * Basic Knowledge of the following: Microsoft Operating Systems, network technologies, Group Policy, IT applications and services & Network Configuration experience

Responsibilities:

  • The team is consistently looking to review and improve its current ways of working and along with the transformation program, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to evolving the way the function operates, ensuring best practice processes are adopted and Service Management tooling fits the teams' requirements.
  • Population and management of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), asset management, Service Catalogue and Document Libraries, including regular housekeeping of the toolsets and the information contained within them
  • Agreeing and ensuring compliance with naming conventions and identification standards for assets, CIs, object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates along with any other information and data that needs to be captured and stored
  • Performing configuration reviews and audits to check that Three's inventory is consistent with CI information in the CMDB and initiating any necessary corrective action to remedy inconsistencies
  • Support transformation by agreeing the scope and definition of the Configuration Management and Service Catalogue processes, standards, plans, procedures, the items that are to be controlled, and the information that is to be recorded in the toolsets. Further support the transformation activities by developing, reviewing and updating these as required
  • Interfacing with other technology areas within the business whilst advising third party partners and
  • Support the team's business and usual activities, fulfilling requests, resolving queries and assisting with investigations and impact assessments
  • Driving continuous improvements to the quality and efficiency of the technical assets, Configuration Management and Service Catalogue management processes as well as participating in internal & customer end-to-end user groups to improve the efficiency of future deliveries and business processes
  • Writing and delivering knowledge sharing and training sessions to ensure staff are aware of and supported by team processes and tools
  • Compiling reports, KPIs and other metrics for use in team and management reports

Must Have:

  • Extensive experience in a fast paced operations environment working within an ITIL framework with a solid understanding of Service Catalogue, Configuration Management, Asset Management and Service Management processes and principles
  • Strong analytical capabilities, highly organised and excellent relationship management skills
  • Experience Asset management tools
  • Experience of a tools, preferably BMC Remedy Atrium CMDB and ADDM
  • Experience of ICT / and or Mobile Network Technologies
  • Proven ability to engage and partner with senior stakeholders across any number of business functions.
  • ITIL Qualifications (Foundation)
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
