Leading Managed Services Provider in the Defence Sector require a skilled Application Packager Lead to join their successful Practice on an ongoing contract basis.

An Application Packager is required to package applications for an Operating System upgrade (Windows 7 to Windows 10) on a Command & Control infrastructure. Operating under an Agile Sprint regime, the Apps Packager will develop and produce automated application installation packages for the core infrastructure and the business applications

Critical Application Packager Skills Required:

Develop and produce automated application installation packages for the following:

• Group Policy Objects
• McAfee ePO
• MS Exchange
• HCL Domino
• McAfee Data Protector
• Office 2016 and Outlook
• Windows Remote Administration Tools
• Other third party applications

Mandatory Skills Required:

* Integration of applications into an automated 'lite touch' client deployment* Systems and Software Engineering background including all aspects of the solution lifecycle* Able to provide technical thought leadership* Strong client facing skills* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft and Unix technologies* Good communications skills, written and verbal presentation* Knowledge and experience of implementing solutions * Knowledge of End-User Applications implementation* Technical knowledge of IT systems, security policies and enforcement* Knowledge and experience of Virtualisation technologies* Knowledge and experience of the take on and implementation of applications and any associated components* Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers* Can deliver a broad technical solution against designs or specifications* Experience of operating within an Agile/Scrum environment* General Knowledge of Applications Deployment
