Application Developer

Essentials:

• Ability to install and integrate tools/applications using RESTful APIs
• Good knowledge of at least one OO based programming language (Java, Python, C++)
• An understanding of networks
• Be familiar with VMWare, Windows, Linux, GPO settings, backup exec , LDAP
• Experience in authoring processes, LLDs, Build Guides, work instructions
• Full lifecycle experience (Requirements, Design, Build, implementation & Support)
• Ability to define and estimate effort for work packages
• Understand Risk and how it may be mitigated.
• Works effectively to tight deadlines
• Customer service experience
• Previous use of JIRA and Confluence would be advantageous

• Maintenance & support of bespoke & COTS Products (3rd line)
• Troubleshooting/Problem solving
• Customer facing - both written and face to face
• Capture and document requirements from stakeholders
• Translate requirements into designs/configurations
• Implement Designs/configurations
• Testing - designing & performing
• Ability to work under own initiative

Technical ability:

• Linux
• vmWare
• Ansible
• LDAP
• Networking
• Build automation
• Java (ideally maintenance of Java code)
