Are you a Senior / Generalist Application Architect with expertise in the design, development and deployment of enterprise-level N-tier architecture in a Microsoft .NET Framework or Java Enterprise Edition platforms? If so please apply to a brand new contract opportunity that is now available in Dublin working for one of the worlds leading IT Services Providers.

As the Senior Application Architect you will define and implement application architecture for diverse business processes, projects, and functions together with development of software solutions and strategies to meet the architectural goals and needs of the client ensuring scalable, reliable, and available architectural solutions.

Pertinent to your responsibilities will be the requirement to conduct applications and database analysis so as to identify and resolve operational issues/limitations in legacy applications, assess, review and design the interaction/interface between applications, databases, and middleware systems to identify and address problems/gaps in functional coverage.

You will be expected to provide guidelines / best practice on the use and maintenance of architectural systems (applications and databases) to ensure sustained efficiency and performance.

You will also ensure proper documentation of software design and developing processes in order to produce appropriate procedures for application use.

To be successful you will ideally have the following skillset and experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in software architecture, development and support.
• Expertise in the design, development and deployment of enterprise-level N-tier architecture in a Microsoft .NET Framework or Java Enterprise Edition platform.
• Knowledge of Azure and multi-tenant/ SaaS solutions considered a plus.
• Knowledge of testing processes and tools.
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design.
• Extensive experience of the Microsoft platform including Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SQL.
• Ability to design and build configurable and customisable enterprise architectures.
• Good understanding of application lifecycle management.
• Background from a FMCG industry delivering enterprise solutions, ERP or similar business systems is highly desired.
