Administrator - (Excel / Word / SharePoint) - Permanent - Basingstoke.

A global IT services company is searching for an experienced Administrator with good Excel, Word and SharePoint skills to join their team in Basingstoke, Hampshire on a permanent basis.

A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered.

We are looking for an Administrator to be based in Basingstoke with the management of back‑end project office functions for the company and our customer. The successful candidate will work within the team to deliver its contractual obligations under the Contract and any Change Orders.

The role will require working with the team and the customer on the following tasks:

  • Updating data on databases (MS Access)
  • Item codification (web portal)
  • Progressing the Obsolescence processes
  • Distributing customer communications (MS Outlook)
  • Document maintenance and administration (MS Word)
  • Site administration (SharePoint)

Skills and Experience Required:

The ideal candidate would have: strong prioritisation and organisation skills; an ability to multitask; a keen attention to detail; an ability to work without supervision; excellent time management skills; proven communication and customer service skills; able to handle confidential information; strong record keeping skills; project a positive and friendly company image as the first line of contact to customers; be proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook). Must have a pro‑active 'can‑do' attitude. Technical knowledge of common IT equipment would be helpful but not essential.

Prior experience of administration and on‑going project governance is preferred. Training will be provided to understand appropriate processes.
