Acquisition Specialist - Mobile Telco/ADC/Site Acquisition

Fixed Term Contract / Day Rate Contract available - up to 12 months
We have a new position working for a leading Telecoms client, based in Berkshire, on a contract basis, as they seek to recruit an Acquisition Specialist with excellent ADC experience within the telco arena.
The main purpose of the role is to advise on and support the acquisition of radio base stations within a defined project or geographical area, ensuring that these solutions are delivered to meet Customer and company timescales, quality and budget in line with current guidelines.
Role responsibilities:
Support Delivery Managers in the end to end governance within a defined project or geographical area, of all sites within a defined Programme of Work through the acquisition process
- Responsible for driving regional acquisition delivery targets with Regional Acquisition Managers, Regional Delivery Managers and Delivery Managers
- Working in conjunction with Estates, Suppliers and deployment team members to ensure NTQs are effectively managed to avoid coverage loss.
- Ensure Acquisition project deliverables are managed in conjunction with Suppliers focusing on cost, time and quality.
- Monitor and report on acquisition delivery within a defined project or geographical area
- Ensure Suppliers achieve high quality agreements in accordance with standards defined by internal Acquisition Tolerances. Conduct quality assurance investigations as is necessary to ensure standards are maintained.
- Constantly innovating to improve and streamline the site acquisition process whilst maintaining quality levels and ensuring cost effectiveness working with regional and national stakeholders
- Identifying market trends and providing an early warning indicator for acquisition based risks and developing solutions to minimise or avoid these.
They are looking for the Acquisition Manager that is:
- Ideally a Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with a a significant number of years post qualification experience, alternatively at least 5 years relevant experience in a comparable role.
- Excellent working knowledge of property, contract and lease/license negotiations are essential.
- A proven track record of effective Supplier and Stakeholder management.
- Working knowledge of ICNIRP, and Code of Best Practice on Mobile Phone Network Development.
- Network Rollout Processes - Understanding of network rollout (End to end process). Can explain infrastructure components to non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to identify potential risks and issues related to rollout and escalates or proactively manages where necessary
- Excellent I.T. and database skills. (MS Office, Business Objects, Evenflow, Omnix etc.)
- Problem solver/solution finder to site specific and generic issues on Acquisition related telecommunications aspects
