Accountant / Finance Manager

Project People are supporting a multi-academy trust based in Norfolk. They are seeking to appoint an Accountant (Part Qualified) / Finance Manager to join the Trust on a permanent basis from October 2019.

The successful person will support the Chief Operating Officer with the management of all finance and accounting operations of the Trust.

You will be responsible for the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and will report variances. The post holder will prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and will ensure that financial management within the Trust complies with the requirements of the Master Funding Agreement, the Academy's Financial Handbook and all other statutory and non-statutory requirements.

The post holder will also ensure financial management within the Trust fully complies with internal policies and procedures and take a leading role in managing procurement across the Trust to ensure value for money.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, MAAT) or be on track to qualify within the next 12 months, with proven experience within a finance department and line management experience, preferably with some experience in the non-profit and/or education sectors.
