3rd Line Network Engineer - Permanent - Berkshire/Hampshire

**A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered and there will be a requirement to go through clearance processes within the role if successful**

Leading Defence sector IT Service provider require an experienced 3rd Line Network Support Engineer to join a great team in Hampshire/Berkshire area on a permanent basis.

The role will involve providing operational support to enterprise environments that run 24/7 across two data centers. You will collaborate with the rest of the team to maintain remote support of the network infrastructure, BAU activities, non-BAU activities, Incident, Change and Problem Management. Perform system configuration changes, upgrades and liaise with third parties and other internal teams. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in project-based work, as you will be working closely with the project team. Additionally, you will provide technical direction and mentoring to the 2nd-line team and be able to demonstrate a shift to the left mentality.

Your experience should include a mixture of some of the following as well as the capacity and interest to learn the rest of it on the job:

• Cisco R&S
• Cisco Firewalls
• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• Juniper SRX firewalls
• F5 BIG-IP load balancers - LTM, AFM & DNS
• Riverbed / Wireshark / SolarWinds
• Strong understanding of IPSEC and SSL VPNs.
