3rd Line Infrastructure Support engineer

The successful candidate will be required to hold a high level of Security clearance prior to starting - candidates not holding this clearance may still be considered.

CONTRACT - 6 Months

Our client a global IT services company are looking for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Support / Wintel Engineer to work onsite with their customer in the Gloucestershire area.

Responsibilities to include:

• Installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance of third party software, products and services relating to Core Services.
• Contributing to Knowledge Articles including creating, reviewing and retiring Knowledge Articles.
• Liaising and working collaboratively with other Authority Third Parties, Resolver Groups and any other persons specified by the Authority to implement Service Changes and technical changes and resolve Level 3 WINTEL Incidents, Level 3 WINTEL Problems and Level 3 WINTEL Defects;
• Provide any other support reasonably requested by the Authority to support the redesign of the WINTEL and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (or either of them).

Technical Skills (mix of the below):

• Veaam Backup and Replication
• VMware ESXi, VMWare vSAN, VMWare vCentre, VMWare NSX, VMWare Horizon:
• Zero and Thin Client Deployment Strategies.
• SMITS tools
• Remedy
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 - AD and NTFS Permissions, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SANS and PKI.
• PowerShell
• WSUS
• Windows 10
• SQL 2012
• Mail M'Soft Exchange up to version 2016
• Voice and Video Conferencing: Skype for Business and SIP with TLS Federation.
• Database Services: SQL Server up to version 2016 and Postgre SQL.
• Replication and Backup Technologies: Cross-site failure and resiliency
• Storage technology to include SAN Configuration
• Desktop Management to include: Win10 Deployment 12
