3rd line Infrastructure & Applications Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure & Application Support Engineer to join an existing team of 3rd support engineers. Your role will involve providing operational support to enterprise environments that run 24/7 across two data centres. You will collaborate with the rest of the team to maintain remote support to the infrastructure and applications hosted within the two data centres, BAU activities, non BAU activities, Incident, Change and Problem Management. Perform system configuration changes, upgrades and liaise with third parties and other internal teams. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in project-based work, as you will be working closely with the project team. Additionally, you will provide technical direction and mentoring to the 2nd-line team and be able to demonstrate a shift to the left mentality.

This is a permanent opportunity and a national security clearance is required for this role and candidates will be required to undergo security clearance if not already held.

• 3rd Line Support of Biometric Applications in a Windows environment
• Supporting Biometric Applications with a database component (SQL Server 2016)
• Management and Configuration of .Net/Java applications, Tomcat.
• Technical Troubleshooting Skills.
• Storage and Backup Services (NetApp SANs, NetApp On Command Plug-in, NetApp Snap Manager, Snap Creator, NetApp Metrocluster)
• iSCSI boot from SAN

Netapps storage experience would be highly desirable for this position.
