Solaris Engineer - SC Clear - Remote

Leading Managed Services Provider in the Public and Defence Sector requires a Solaris Engineers to join our customer's Data Centre Exit team. As part of a small team within a large Data Centre Exit Programme, your role will be to work client-side to deliver migration support services and to make changes to Windows platforms hosting IT services critical to our Customer.

**A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered**

Duration: 6 Months initially

Remote working but must be able to travel to Telford as required

Most of the project work is expected to be in normal hours, but you could also be offered to work out of hours.

Your experience -

• At least 5-10 years' experience of supporting (2nd to 3rd Line) Solaris servers and platforms within large scale infrastructures (1000+ servers).
• Significant Solaris 10 & 11 & Oracle hardware experience
• Ops Center experience
• UNIX scripting skills
• Knowledge of Linux (SUSE, RHEL or OEL)
• Good understanding of Storage, Networking & Cloud computing technologies
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication.
• Have proven problem solving abilities.

Certifications:

• Oracle Solaris 11 System Administration (Or the Solaris 10 equivalent)
• Oracle Solaris 11 System Advanced Administration (Or the Solaris 10 equivalent)
